My floating cloud has been carved from sandstone. It appears to hover, and then stop. Its round metallic fingers nudge into the rocks side squeezing it into place, whilst woven branches twist and intertwine around the carving. A large textured seed pod maybe? Patterns chiselled into the stone accentuate its form as the pod waits to burst.  I flicked metal roots to slither out of the inner void to curve and cajole the timeless stone to stay.

I stabilized the rock by carving a collar into it, then wrapped it with rings to conspire against gravity keeping it afloat.
